  • Escalate technical or safety issues appropriately through defined channels
  • Perform additional work activities as directed to support GE project execution

GE Certifications & Activation Requirements (Required)

  • Current GE Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Authorization
  • Global Wind Organisation (GWO) certifications: Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), Advanced Rescue Training (ART)
  • Ability to maintain required certifications including OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, CPR/AED, First Aid, and GE safety and technical requirements
  • This role prioritizes technicians who are already GE-authorized and ready for immediate field deployment

Technical Qualifications

  • Wind industry experience supporting mechanical and/or electrical service activities
  • Understanding of basic AC/DC electrical circuits
  • Ability to verify electrical connections and follow schematics and work instructions
  • Proficiency using standard hand and power tools required for wind turbine service
  • Ability to follow GE work procedures precisely and consistently
  • Strong focus on safety compliance, task execution, and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in structured, rule-driven environments

Professional Expectations

  • Strict adherence to GE, OSHA, customer, and SCR safety policies
  • Professional conduct, appearance, and communication on site
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
  • Willingness to receive direction and follow established processes
  • Proactive communication of risks, issues, or delays

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to climb wind turbines vertically 300 feet or more
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors in varying and adverse weather conditions
  • Exposure to high and low ambient temperatures
  • Weight requirement of 120–280 lbs, including clothing, boots, and standard personal protective equipment
