Siemens Blade Repair Technician – Level D 

100% Travel | Siemens Blade Repair – Advanced Structural Repair 

About the Role 

Sky Climber Renewables is seeking Siemens Blade Repair Technicians – Level D to support advanced, high-complexity blade repair scopes across Siemens wind projects. This role is designed for technicians with the highest level of Siemens blade repair competence, capable of executing large-scale structural repairs and advanced technical fixes beyond standard laminate restoration. 
 
This is not a general blade repair role. Level D technicians are deployed specifically because of their advanced certification, experience, and judgment, and are trusted to execute the most complex structural blade repairs in the Siemens fleet. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Deploy as a key member of SCR’s Siemens-certified blade repair workforce supporting advanced structural repair scopes 
  • Travel 100% on a rotational basis to Siemens blade repair projects across the U.S. 
  • Perform advanced structural blade repairs, including large-scale laminate reconstruction, complex load-bearing repairs, and advanced technical fixes 
  • Execute Siemens –approved repair procedures for high-severity blade damage beyond surface erosion or minor laminate repair 
  • Lead planning and execution of complex repair scopes, including repair sequencing, material selection, and structural validation 
  • Ensure strict adherence to Siemens repair standards, quality requirements, and documentation protocols 
  • Serve as a technical authority in the field, supporting troubleshooting and repair strategy decisions 
  • Mentor and technically support Level C and junior blade technicians on complex repair execution 
  • Interface directly with customers, site leadership, and internal technical support functions 
  • Complete all required technical reports, repair documentation, and certification records accurately and on time 
  • Perform rescue operations and support emergency response activities as required 

Siemens Certifications & Activation Requirements (Required) 

  • Current Siemens Blade Repair Certification – Level D 
  • GWO Certifications: Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), Advanced Rescue Training (ART) 
  • Ability to maintain required certifications including OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Siemens blade-specific technical certifications 
  • This role prioritizes technicians who can be activated immediately on advanced Siemens blade repair scopes 

Technical Qualifications 

  • Extensive experience performing advanced structural blade repairs on Siemens turbines 
  • Demonstrated capability executing complex laminate, core, and structural repairs 
  • Advanced understanding of composite materials, including structural epoxies and adhesives, reinforcement and core systems, and advanced layup schedules and cure processes 
  • Ability to interpret Siemens repair manuals, engineering instructions, and structural repair criteria 
  • Strong attention to execution quality, documentation accuracy, and safety compliance 
  • Ability to work autonomously in high-risk, high-complexity repair environments 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements 

  • Ability to climb wind turbines 300 feet or more 
  • Ability to lift and move materials and tools up to 50 lbs 
  • Ability to work at height and in confined blade environments 
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying and adverse weather conditions 
  • Weight requirement of 120–280 lbs, including clothing, boots, and standard personal protective equipment 

Employment Conditions 

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record 
  • Ability to pass background check(s) and drug screening 
  • This is a safety-sensitive position per Siemens and SCR requirements
